Hey there, I just saw a Embrear 175 in US Airways livery taking off after landing. His callsign was American 787 Super. When he landed, he went off the runway and he takeoff. After he takeoff, I try intercepting him and he went to land to a closer airport near KLAX (you can see it in the picture) After that, he takeoff and land in KLAX again. After that, he keep repeating it. What is going on with this pilot?
He is most likely doing patterns to gain a landing count. Most pilots do that 😊
He is doing something called patterns.
He lands and takeoffs again.
Good way to practice landings and gain xp.
Also your load is MTOW,if this is not causal u need to change to under MTOW
Adding on to what everyone else said, here is a good explanation of it. ^
Now, the ATC tell him to wait for clearance before landing
It is fairly routine for pilots to land their planes after they takeoff (:
If the tower is active you need to receive a initial landing clearance for remaining in the pattern.
The real question is…
Why were you trying to intercept him?
He was about to send a Sidewinder after him!
