Embraer Phenom 300

@DeerCrusher officially nominated me to remake this request:

Development

The Embraer Phenom family is one of the most well-known and loved families of very-light business jets, comprising of 2 variants: the Phenom 100, and the star of this topic, the larger Phenom 300. After conducting market studies, Embraer found out that, while customers were impressed with the smaller Phenom 100, they wanted something just as good, but larger. Initially, the plan was to simply stretch the Phenom 100, however, as seen on hundreds of Phenom 300s gracing the skies today, that idea clearly did not work. This lead them to create a clean-sheet design, although various components of the smaller aircraft have been reused on it. After what seems to have been a very smooth development, the aircraft took to the skies for the first time on the 29th of April 2008, several months ahead of schedule, receiving its FAA type certificate on the 3rd of December 2009.

Further improvements

Embraer has continuously improved on the robust and well-proven platform of the Phenom 300 since the end of the last decade, starting, in 2018, with the original Phenom 300E, featuring a redesigned interior, new avionics and a ground power mode for the engines. This wasn’t quite enough, leading the manufacturer to upgrade it in even further, introducing, in 2020, the new Phenom 300E, featuring upgraded engines, in turn leading to increased maximum speed, from Mach 0.78 to Mach 0.80, and a slightly longer range as well. This new variant also features avionics improvements, including an Embraer-developed runway overrun awareness and alerting system (ROAAS), which warns pilots if the approach is too steep or too fast. Furthermore, this variant offers even an even better passenger experience, with even further interior upgrades, such as a new configuration and better sound insulation.

Aiming to expand the uses of the Phenom 300 beyond just transporting rich people around the world in unmatched comfort in its class, Embraer also developed a medical evacuation kit, released in August 2020. This kit is an optional for newly-built aircraft, as well as retrofittable onto existing aircraft.

The best-selling business jet in its category for over 10 consecutive years

Pilots love to fly it, operators love its incredible performance and flexibility, and customers love its unmactched expreience in its class. With all of that in mind, it’s a surprise to no one that this aircraft would sell very well. However, outselling every single one of its closest competitors for over 10 consecutive years is definitely not something you see every day, showing just how remarkable this aircraft is.

Why should it be added in Infinite Flight?

This topic shows numerous qualities of this incredible aircraft, making these alone very good reasons to add it to the sim. Not only that, but this aircraft is certified for single-pilot operations (in fact, it is the biggest business jet certified for single-pilot ops), bringing a whole new level of realism for non-fighter jets in IF. In addition to that, the Challenger 350 has been very well recieved by the community, opening up new and exciting routes no airline flies, and the Phenom 300 a perfect complement to it, with the CL35 being the heavier business jet and the Phenom, the lighter, suiting everyone’s “I’m feeling super rich today” needs.

I see this aircraft fly to my hometown quite frequently, would love to see it in the game

Awesome photos!

I’ve actually had N6A behind me in Naples one day. The guy who flies it is actually a YouTuber. He’s got some cool videos of him flying the Legacy 500 as well.

Imo its too close in size to the CL35 which already to me looks too small and totally off cause of the wings position, i like private jets i just hope we get a bigger one next time

I thi9nk this would be great, but considering the CL35, I think we should wait

It’s not because I requested it that it instantly enters development (especially with the insane number of votes (1) as of writing). Much on the contrary, these requests usually take years, and hundreds or thousands of votes to then be considered worth developing. Therefore, the Challenger 350 will very likely be a couple years old by the time this is added - if it gets enough attention.

well, I know that, but I think not a lot of people have heard of this, so i’m not sure

Voting for it? Though you used to be able to like Features topics a very long time ago (likely before the current voting system was a thing).

“Little” bump for this! Embraer us much more than just two E-Jets. Their business jet division is one of the best in the world and deserves to be in IF! What better way to introduce an Embraer business jet than with the sales champion in the category for over 10 years?

We need some jet variety in IF

Phenom 300 for light
Challenger 350 for Mid size
And Global 7500 for long range

Why stop there? In an ideal world, we’ll have a ramp full of Challengers, Globals, Phenoms, Legacies, Lears, Citations, Praetors, Hawkers, Premiers, Falcons and even shudder Beechjets.
