Introduction

The Embraer E-170 combines efficiency with range and passenger comfort, making it one of the most sophisticated regional jets flying today. It would be a great addition to the Infinite Flight fleet. Given that Infinite Flight already includes a range of regional jets, this would provide users with a modern, versatile aircraft ideal for short-range routes. As aviation continues to evolve, new-generation planes like the E-170 bring enhanced efficiency and design, making them perfect candidates for the Infinite Flight platform. Adding this aircraft would further expand the range of advanced cockpits available, while attracting aviation enthusiasts eager to experience the latest in regional aviation technology.

Aircraft Description

The Embraer E-170, along with the E-175, E-190, and E-195, is part of the first generation of the E-Jet family. Designed for regional service, the E-170 offers excellent fuel consumption and range, making it a popular choice for airlines operating high-demand, shorter routes. The aircraft measures 29.90 meters in length (98 feet 1 inch) and is designed to carry 76 passengers in a two-class configuration, or 80 passengers in a single-class setup. Powered by two General Electric CF34-8E turbofans, the E-170 offers impressive performance with reduced fuel burn and noise.

Development

In the early 2000s, Embraer launched the E-Jet program to meet increasing demand for regional jets capable of serving short-haul routes efficiently, while maintaining airline-level comfort. The E-170’s first flight took place on February 19, 2002, and the aircraft was certified later that year. Thanks to its efficient engines and aerodynamics, the E-170 has become a favorite among regional airlines worldwide. It can comfortably serve both large and small markets, without compromising passenger comfort. Over time, the E-170 has continued to improve with advancements in avionics and operational efficiency, making it one of the most reliable and fuel-efficient options for airlines.

Why should this aircraft be added into Infinite Flight?

While Infinite Flight already features several regional jets, adding the Embraer E-170 would fill a gap in the simulator’s fleet. The E-170 is ideal for short- and medium-haul routes, connecting major and regional airports. Many airlines worldwide operate the E-Jet series, and adding the E-170 would expand Infinite Flight’s regional fleet, giving users a modern, efficient aircraft for shorter routes. The E-170’s growing popularity makes it a perfect fit for the Infinite Flight fleet, offering users a more realistic and enjoyable flying experience on regional routes.

We used to have it, a long time ago (when I didn’t know of the game’s existence), but it was removed in favor of the Embraer E175. Definitely would appreciate getting it back, but I also can’t see this anywhere on the developers’ ideas.

I love how the whole text is AI generated.

Why don’t you try writing it yourself? Looks like you put this together in 2 seconds.

You can’t provide an E170 photo, and write a text by yourself at the same time. 💀

Because it would take literal hours for all the research and writing and some people don’t have that kind of time. And nobody grading you on it, if you wrote it or not, they are only here for the feature request.

You can literally do the bare minimum by copying the first paragraph off of the Wikipedia page of the respective, and then write some words about why you want the respective, it’s not that hard.
Writing more with fancy words, doesn’t make the feature request much smarter.

But that’s what the person did with the conclusion…

Regardless, credit should be given at a minimum. There are feature requests here on the forum with copy and pasted descriptions but the creator credits their sources. Not even having the correct aircraft as the photo for your feature request is also a bad look-

A conclusion and a source are two entirely different things.

I completely agree with you, although the person didn’t right it, I 110% believe that you should credit the ai.
And just looking now I didn’t know that aircraft was the e175 instead of the e170 💀

You’d be surprised how hard you gotta look at this aircraft to tell the difference between the 70 and 75 tbh lol especially from that angle so I think the op didn’t look closely enough.

Since this topic replies are all about correcting someone for their English Language Arts allow me to have a bit of fun.

You are correct about one thing he definitely didn’t “right it” but instead he probably wrote it. Because it is already written, you have to put in the past tense word for write not “right”

Guys, please stop dragging him for this topic. He at least took the time to bolden some titles.

You wrote intead instead of instead lol

I don’t think the op messed up on grammar, it was someone else who replied to this thread, we’re hounding him, not the op lol

No, I’m referring to the fact that OP just copy pasted some stuff and bolded the titles. As in, it’s a lighthearted comment aimed at the fact that more effort could’ve been put in.
