A second African virtual airline is now up and running
Welcome to the very first Egyptair Virtual (MSVA) thread 2022! We are all delighted to know you’ve landed here. The thread will help you around in the organisation of the virtual airline, even before joining it.
We are making our best to make your experience in Egyptair Virtual an amazing one, through the regular events we will be hosting, as well as available staff and straight-forward organisation.
Egyptair Virtual is the second Virtual Airline based in Africa. It was founded on July 25th 2022 and was approved by the IFVARB on September 23rd 2022.
Egyptair Virtual (MSVA) is based in Egypt’s capital city, Cairo, a buzzing city on the banks of river Nile which is a splendid natural waypoint to link Cairo and Aswan.
Our staff team is fully dedicated to making your experience in Egyptair Virtual captivating and long-lasting.
Our 4 staff members are the following:

@Mathurin_Garcier (CEO): Mathurin is our CEO, he takes all the final decisions. He is also in close contact with the IFVARB to maintain the VA afloat.

@_TIM_49 (COO): Timothé is our COO, he assists the CEO in all of his tasks, and helps our CEO with the communications with the IFVARB.

@pierrick (Event Manager): Pierrick is our Event Manager ! He organises events for the VA and makes sure all goes as planned!

@saam (Chief pilot): Sam is our main flight instructor at MSVA, he will organize training sessions for new pilots and will assist our pilots when they have questions about flying on IF in general.
We started with a goal of opening Africa to more people, to help people discover new places and amazing scenery with the amazing network of Egyptair and the one of our partners.
From day one, we knew codeshares are a must for a virtual airline, this is why we have select a number of partners for you, pilots, to enjoy the whole world and cover all the beautiful places of our dear planet.

Our fleet is composed of 5 different aircraft types: the 738, the 789, the A223, the 77W and the A333.
The most modern aircraft of the fleet is the gorgeous A223, which flies many Medium Haul routes since Egyptair Express fully merged with Egyptair, retiring all E170.
The real workhorse here at Egyptair is the 777-300ER, it flies all around the globe wherever it can meet the demand due to the flow of tourists visiting the breathtaking sites of Gizeh and Abu Simbel.
Fleet Details
The 777-300ER: 6 in our fleet, the triple 7 that we have, is fitted with the GE90-115b engines, the most powerful engines in the market. With its astonishing range, it flies mostly Long Haul routes for us.
The A220-300: The A220 is the newest addition to our fleet, bringing a breath of modernity with a completely rethinked cabin. The A223 was ordered in a plan of renewal of our fleet, because of our aging 737s.
The 737-800: We currently have 29 aircraft in the fleet. Flies mostly Medium Haul routes and most of our 737s are getting upgraded to 737NG version, for a better customer experience.
The A330-300: 4 in our fleet, capable of holding more than 300 passengers, the A333 is a great aircraft for flying Long Haul and Medium Haul whenever a larger aircraft is needed.
The 787-9 Dreamliner (operated with the generic livery): Our fuel efficient Dreamliner is mostly used on Long and Medium Haul routes. With a seating capacity of 309 people, the Dreamliner is capable of flying Long Haul thanks to its great fuel capacity and great fuel efficiency.
Our rank system is pretty straight-forward, as well as reminding our pilots of Egyptian culture, it ensures an interesting and a fast progress dynamic.
Second Officer:
After being trained by the Chief Pilot, the new pilot is now a second officer. This rank is separated into 2 levels:
Level 1: the pilot can fly any Egyptair regional haul route (0-10 hours)
Level 2: the pilot can fly any Egyptair short haul route (10-25 hours)
0 to 25 hours
First Officer:
Any Egyptair Medium Haul route, as well as any Short Haul Codeshare route.
25 to 75 hours.
Captain:
Any Egyptair Long Haul route as well as any Short and Medium Haul route. 1.5x multiplier on any group flight with 5 or more people.
75 to 150 hours
Commander:
Any Egyptair route, as well as any codeshare route, as well as any cargo route. 1.5x multiplier on any group flight.
150 to 300 hours
Nefertiti Award:
Commander with a 1.15x multiplier on all flights
300 to 500 hours
Osiris Award:
Commander with a 1.25x multiplier on all flights
500 to 750 hours
Tutankhamun Award:
Commander with a 1.5x multiplier on all flights
and a little treat of a big bunch of Fifth-Freedom flights
750 and plus hours
The future is bright at MSVA ! First and foremost we would like to have a solid number of pilots who will represent the VA in Infinite Flight’s skies, have a growing list of codeshares and hopefully attract more curious pilots.
There are many ways to file an application to join Egyptair Virtual, but before you do so, please make sure you are following our entry requirements:
Application Requirements
Have an active Infinite Flight Pro Subscription
Be Grade 3
Be 13 years old (or older)
Have an active access to Discord as it is our mean of communication
Not be Suspended on the Infinite Flight Community (IFC)
Not be blacklisted by the Infinite Flight Virtual Airline Regulatory Board (IFVARB)
Score at least 16/20 at our entrance exam
