On the training ATC server, I’ve noticed EGLL tower & ground are constantly assigned with a controller. Does anyone know the best way to get a slot controlling tower and ground? Is it a case of waiting and refreshing until they become free?

Yeah unfortunately that’s just the way it is with Training Server - you could open somewhere “nearby” (e.g. EGCC) and you will probably get some traffic. Not a certainty though.
Another option is opening approach/departure (if you’re up for the “challenge”).
In the training server, its pretty much just waiting till they are free. On the Expert server, we basically just have a glorified way of doing this aswell.
I usually just keep refreshing until the frequency become free.
