Today I travelled the short 2hr trip from London Heathrow (EGLL) to Gibraltar (LXGB). The conditions were dicey at Heathrow, not due to wind, but because of rain and low visibility. However this all made for a fun takeoff!
The descent into Gibraltar was breathtaking, and after a brief conversation with the pilots I learned that Gibraltar doesn’t support ILS approaches, so the approach into LXGB had to be visual making for an even bigger challenge for the skilled pilots.
Well anyway, enough talking! Time for the shots of G-EUYM:
Really nice photos! Must’ve been amazing to see inside that cockpit, and also to view that extremely scenic approach on landing! How was the journey overall?
The journey was perfect. A sweet bit of heavy turbulence over the Pyrenees, but I love turbulence :)
Oh and I got a video of the full approach into LXGB. Unfortunately though
my laptop charger has broken, rendering my laptop unusable, meaning that I have no way of unloading the footage for the 10 days I’m in Spain.
Yea, that B&W shot was on spot!
It looks like something i could only imagine in my head but the fact that it’s real, just shows how good of a picture it really is :)
