The tan surrounding the runways here, does that mean they’re back taxi or taxway’s alongside the runway?

These are shoulder so that mean you have to back-taxi. These shoulder look weird for me and please somebody correct me if I’m wrong.
thanks to the wonders of satellite photography (google maps), its almost all just backtaxi, looks like the runways used to be wider but for some reason they shrank them ( you can see where the old numbers used to be painted)
I guess that makes sense ha ha. I can see that in the satellite imagery. I’m assuming it would be inappropriate to taxi on the shoulder and that one should stay on the center line.
