Im wondering why i was denied permission to taxi to rwy 22R for departure when that is the only runway that had a sid that went to my tma exit point. And when i came in to land, i was vectored onto 22R which i guess is understandable under traffic conditions.
At EHFK, there is a preferential runway system which is, in order:
Landings: 1)15 2)22L 3)4L 4)4R 5)22R 6)33
Departures: 1)22R 2)22L 3)4R 4)33 5)4L 6)15
My specific TMA exit point was NEPEK, which does not have a connecting 22L SID
When the traffic level is at the level it is for the World Tour, real-world operations get disregarded. There are just too many aircraft for it to be efficient.
It doesn’t really matter in Infinite Flight if the SID doesn’t correct directly, it’ll still create a path to your first waypoint after the SID.
I still dont exactly understand why i wasnt allowed to taxi to 22R tho. Wouldnt it be more efficient to use both runways for departures and landings instead of just one for departure and both for landings?
Arrivals have priority, so both 22L and 22R are being used for that purpose.
There aren’t enough departures right now to warrant using both runways. Plus aircraft crossing 22L to get to 22R would just delay departures getting out in the arrival gaps.
If there “isnt enough departures” wouldnt it be fine then to let them wait in line since theyre not building up? Especially if theyre being spread out? I would think also if traffic isnt heavy enough then i should be allowed to use the only runway with a connecting sid to the north while traffic heading south continue to use 22L
