Edited Vs Non-Edited

Hi all,

I have so many spotting pics from Johannesburg that I’ve been lazy to upload because of the amount (70-90 and more) and it takes a lot of time and storage on the forum. If anyone knows an app or another website thats quicker and i can post as many. I may just break them up into groups of photos and post them separately if I’m allowed.

On Topic Now

I have a few recent arrivals spotting pictures and id like to know which you prefer, Edited or Non-Edited. Later on ill do some arrivals, there were a lot of African liveries which were nice! Ill edit later and post departures and more arrivals. Feel free to post a comparison of you own.

Notes

I made this a Wiki for regulars to edit and add there own photos, Just add your username in bold and post your photos in the format i have posted mine.

No toaster photos allowed!

Thanks,
Josh.

I don’t like the effect in the 1st picture. The goal of editing a photo is to get the photo like in real.

The blur in the editing? Sorry, I’m really new to editing.

I prefer the edited ones. But all of these are amazing photos 😉

I don’t really like editing. I think of an airport as a wildlife reserve, where you can see planes out there in the wild. The point is to get the most natural picture of aviation, or of the plane.

Yeah, understood. It should be classified as a wild life reserve!

It was the best metaphor that I could think of, but it actually works quite well!

I do prefer the edited snaps !

Of course! The A350 on approach photo is a perfect example, “Two birds flying into O.R Tambo in the natural habitat.” 😂. @Joshua_Fleming, some are better edited for me and some are not. 😂.

Team non-edited for life!

I like the non edited. I think that you over edited the others, a little less would be better.

I like the edited pictures a little more, but there is a fine line between subtlety improving an image, and over-doing it.

It really comes down to ones own preference. Some like them edited, some don’t. Either way, beautiful photos!

Wait, we are supposed our own edited photos here right?

I really like those edited SIA A359 snaps! 💕

(Both photos are 9V-SMA right ?)

Tbh, I’m okay actually with edits. As long as it’s not overedited/use too much filter
