Hello Guys and welcome back to my spotting series.
During Corona, a lot has changed for the most Spotters, and also i didnt had a clue where i should go to follow my Hobby. There had been weeks where we had no Passenger Flights to EDDW, after that, we had a single CRJ900LR per Day in Bremen. With time going on, it got a little bit better. KLM started flying AMS-BRE seven times a wekk, then 14, than 20. SundAir started to operate again and flew once or twice Daily to Holiday Destinations. Pegasus had been at the Airport once a week, Sunexpress only twice a week. So i had no clue what to do. Most of the registrations i already had, the nice flights operated early in the morning when it was still dark.
After some weeks of bad spotting, the weather started to get worse. We had days and days with heavy fog, on good days we only had thick clouds… Horrible.
But you know what that means!
If i had the chance to catch a new reg or Airline, i took the chance and visited the Airport Fence to go spotting!
Then there was Day Zero… a second lookdown, BUT that was the beginning of the Cargo Flights to Bremen International Airport. Volkswagen, a big German company decided fly their Cargo from Tunis to Bremen, at the beginning once daily, sometimes twice. But with the countless visits of Cargo Aircraft they visited more often, three times a day, four times a day, sometimes even six or seven Cargo Flights a Day.
But before you have to read more, i am happy to share some pictures with you!
(in chronological order ofc)
At the end of the Summer, i visited EHAM, Amsterdam Airport to get at least a little bit of traffic and wow, that was too much for me and my friend xD we made jokes like: “Today we are spotting as many Airliners as we would spot within a year in Bremen” or “ouh look at this small plane, that would fit into Bremen Airport” (during a B748F takeoff xD)
Amsterdam is huge and awesome, maybe i have 10 awesome pictures for Part 11?
Lets start with one of the most known Airlines, Emirates!
A B777F during taxi on the famous Taxiway Q
there are construction works at Taxiway Q, but that didnt stopped us to go there!
Next up, Etihad Cargo with a B777F:
There had been a lot of traffic, it is hard to chose which Airliner i should show you…
But next one up is a Turkish Cargo A330F after takeoff:
low sun their, great day for spotting, i love Amsterdam!
After these small freighter, i want to show you a bigger one, a Queen, a B744F from Silk Way:
And another Silk Way, but with another Livery:
I have a lot more pictures too share, but lets skip some weeks of time!
My Hometown Airport had problems, i havent been spotting for weeks, when a new kind of Plane started to fly. It was time for Cargo in Bremen!
TS-ICA, Express Air Cargo had been the first Aircraft to fly to Bremen for Volkswagen, and the weather wasnt that bad:
Some days later, i also catched TS-ICB, but maybe you guessed it, the weather was ***. I had to go 4 times to the airport before i could accept the quality of the picture:
Soon, the first Porblems hit. TS-ICA had technical issues and had been replace with D-ACLW. First Flight of Cargo Logic Germany to EDDW, and i was there!
I had been lucky to catch these 3 Cargo 737s with good weather condictions. The next one, well it was a bad day for spotting. But i still want to share it wih you!
The Cargo Demand had been high between Tunis and Bremen, so ASL Airlines made their first flight to EDDW:
Most days in Fall and Winter sadly look like this…
I will continue to visit the airport, maybe for night shots, but also for new freighters!!
Stay safe everyone! have a nice december and see you online at Atlanta, i will be there with a KLM B773 in ~12hours!
