Well this will be great for Low cost airlines.

Looks like Delta, American and United will go head to head with the Low Cost Airlines.

Even though it has less perks than economy, it will let people travel for cheaper!

No perks what so ever, it seems!

I bet the wheel wells are more comfortable than this new “Economy Minus”.

That’s why you have blankets.

“Sorry Sir. You’re flying Economy Minus. No blanket for you. No free peanuts either. Sorry! Have a “nice” flight!”

Sounds like it will have some success. Whatever keeps the legacy airlines afloat I suppose. Only downside I can see to this is that since pax will pay less, complaints will grow, especially since many people will very likely unknowingly purchase economy minus thinking it’s economy.

Economy Minus is such a negative name, why not call it no-frills class

The Dutch news site called it ‘Basic Class’.
Not a bad name actually.

Too confusing for everyone.
When you add a new class you should also add a new name.

Transavia, Air France - KLM’s low cost company was called Basiq Air for a while, with flights based on the no frills-concept.

I saw an article on line and I was shocked ! …rayan air were thinking about an economy class where by the pasangers stood for the flight there were no seats just a vertical bar that the (seat belt ) or stand belt was attached to for flights up to an hour …madness!!!

One step closer to the luggage area

It another tactic to try to compete with the likes of NK and whatnot. I don’t think this idea will catch on universally.

oh boy i see alot of people happy and alot of them angry

What happens will be interesting. How will the public react?

thats economy class for us regulars in europe :)

Economy on united can get worse?
