Once global comes out, planes will be much more active, and making all kinds of for example approaches, but something I think would be really helpful, would be to have a panel of ATC, “requests” so you can just tap to tell the controller you are executing a go around, or what your position is. This could also include dedicated “Roger” and affirmation buttons, for my personal taste I would locate these next to the throttle controls.
Aren’t the ATC commands easy enough? How much simpler could they be? 🤷🏼♂️
You think it easy to dig through to find something like go around call out, or would be easier to have it there as a go around is a last minute thing.
If you take a glance at the current in game interface, you may notice that there is not that much room available anywhere near the throttle controls in my own personal opinion. I would highly recommend that this feature could be accessed through an additional HUD option and or HUD-3 instead of these buttons being inputted onto the “main screen” itself if it is ever actually implemented into the [Infinite Flight] (https://www.infinite-flight.com/) mobile simulator platform as an update.
no no no, Im trying to say that this feature might not be necessary because traffic will decrease, not increase. Also just like what deercruser said, atc commands are already easy to use ;) Please pm me if you have any other problems thanks!
Yes I understand, I said that because my thumb is usually right there, but that works best for me, a bit selfish…
Go around is a one click (send) command. Pretty straight forward, but like I tell all other community members who create a #features request, if you’re going to make a feature request vote for it. Because you didn’t/haven’t voted for it yet, it tells us that it isn’t really wanted. Have a good evening! 😉
Yup, I voted when I posted weird…but I just don’t like having to go through the command panel especially if I’m just above the runway.
maybe. It will definitely bring more people to IF. Right now at a given moment, there are only about 200 or so active users. If we are talking about a map size as large as the whole entire world, more users flying in IF will still be pretty empty. Those airports will get some traffic but probobly the same as LAX right now in TS1. And just like what @deercrusher said, atc is easy enough to use already. When atc issues a command, the reply comment automatically gets bumbled to the front.
lmao its not that hard. Just have to hit one button (just like the gear button or autopilot engage/disengage) No disrespect or anything but no need to be that lazy lol. Flying a plane in general isn’t an easy task. simplifying it won’t do any good. (just like automation in the cockpit can lead to pilot distractions, etc)
I would like to see a command to ask the ATC what the aircraft (infront, right, or left) is doing…
Incase they never gave directions… Or if they are going out to far (Just for the pilot to know what they are doing)
So do we combine this with the request for multiple throttle levers so that we will have a grand total of 1 Sq Cm of combined available space to see beyond all of the controls on the screen to see the new scenery?
The most basic rule of order in Aviation:
Aviate. Navigate. Communicate.
Notice which one comes third. Your priority is not to announce the ‘go around’. Fly the aircraft first. Once you have a stabilises climb, then it’s actually quite simple - 1 click on the headphone symbol, then 1 click on the go around command.
If you abide by the above rule, there’s no need for certain commands to be cluttering the main screen to literally reduce 2 ‘clicks’ to 1…
Well you realize in real life a pilot will call it as soon as he/she does it, as they only have to hold down a button to talk to the controller, they don’t have menues to dig through.
They also call right away because there are two people in the cockpit. One handles the go-around, the other handles the communications.
This is not real life though, We don’t want more stuff cluttering the screen in my opinion. 😬
well I think we need taxi via rwy instructions to not to colide with someone else. This has been in the topic before so… Oh well
Lets not get off the topic shall we?
It won’t it will be like 3 buttons.
Log on. Click the “ATC ON” button. And watch the automatic ATC work :D
Wayy more than 200, not everyone is active all the time. Probaly more than 10,000 as there are 25,000 on the IFC and not everyone is on here, so even 10K is a conservative guess
