Alrighty folks, the second leg of American Airlines Flight 1533 from Washington Ronald Reagan to Miami has been complete. So now, I have arrived at Miami International Airport last night @ 11:52 PM. After getting off the plane, I spend the night at Gate D51, getting some sleep . Then I woke up at around 7:00 AM and sat at Gate D51, seeing billions of people roaming in the airport. I even spotted some planes at the Concourse E. Then at 9:15 AM, I went over to La Caretta and grabbed some breakfast
to eat. I got a Steak and Eggs Carretero Breakfast
with 2 croquettes and ham served with grits and toast
and orange juice
. Then I took my breakfast and checked the airport display and my flight as American Airlines Flight 593, was scheduled to depart from Gate D31 @ 11:29 AM, so I walked over to Gate D31, I didn’t take the MIA SkyTrain
. And here go the shots of this third and final leg down to St. Maarten
that I hope you will enjoy.

Alrighty folks, here goes my aircraft parked at Gate D31 MIA airport, getting ready for us to board our 11:29 AM AA593 flight down to St. Maarten

Good morning ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard American Airlines Flight 593, service to St. Maarten

The captain goes, “Flight attendants, prepare for takeoff”, before we got onto the runway. Then we got on and lined up RWY 8R for takeoff out of MIA airport.
And off we go as we are airborne as we lifted off RWY 8R from MIA airport, we are off to St. Maarten

After we tookoff, we banked slightly right, flying Southeast enroute to St. Maarten, flying over this magnificent ocean

We leveled off FL350 to where the seat belt sign has been turned off where passengers were able to get up and use the lavatory at the rear galley as there are two lavatories at the rear galley. Then I took out my AirPods

Then we began our descent as seat belt sign was turned on once again for us to be seated in preparation for landing into St. Maarten. Here we are flying over the Caribbean Sea

Then we made our way onto short final RWY 10 for landing. As there was some gusty winds, moments before we touched down, unfortunately, we failed the landing and had to go around and I said to myself, “What is happening?, Why would the captain go around?” Then that white blonde haired female seated behind the white male passenger, next to me went, “What the heck is that pilot doing!?, why would he go around? The pilot did not have to do that! He could’ve just landed the plane” Like I don’t know what that lady is talking about. But the captain made the announcement “Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking from the flight deck, apparently we had to go around because we were a bit too high due to some gusty winds over here at St. Maarten. So we’ll try that approach again and hopefully we touch down into St. Maarten. So sit back and hopefully we’ll get us onto the ground at St. Maarten.” So we went around and here we are on final RWY 10 SXM airport once again before we finally landed on the second attempt into St. Maarten.
And on the second attempt, we have landed into SXM airport @ 2:09 PM. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Princess Juliana International Airport. So we back taxied RWY 10 before exiting the runway. Then we taxied to Gate B2 for arrival to St. Maarten.
And we have arrived at Gate B2 SXM airport @ 2:16 PM. Welcome to St. Maarten

And that completes the first trip of the Early Summer 2025 Trip to St. Maarten. I hope that you have enjoyed this whole entire journey overall. I’ll be looking forward to plane spotting at St. Maarten, this time at Simpson Bay beach where it is much safer than spotting at Maho Beach since there are planes taking off from St. Maarten, that we could get blown away by jet blast. So anyways, stay tune for my St. Maarten airport plane spotting series and be safe and have a blessed night.
