Early Summer 2025 Trip to St. Maarten and Dubai: Outbound 1 - St. Louis to St. Maarten Pt 2

Alrighty folks, now that the first leg was done, now going onto the second leg heading from Washington Ronald Reagan to the :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states:305 Miami. Getting off of my previous flight, and transferring from Gate D45 and before getting to Gate C25, I looked at the airport display and saw that my 9:00 PM flight to Miami was delayed to 9:29 PM, and was scheduled to depart from Gate C29. Arriving at Ronald Reagan at 6:25 PM, I had a lot of time to kill since the flight was delayed 29 minutes. Anyways, without further ado, let’s get right onto the shots regarding this second leg. Hope you enjoy it.

Second Flight: American Airlines Flight 1533 - Washington DC Ronald Reagan to Miami :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states:
Aircraft: Boeing 737-800
Origin: Washington Ronald Reagan National Airport (KDCA)
Destination: Miami International Airport (KMIA)
Flight Time: 2hrs 40mins
Date: 5/24/2025
Server: Expert

Alrighty folks, having a lot of time to kill during my layover over here at Gate C29 DCA airport, two hours later at around 8:45 PM, here goes my aircraft that flew me to the 305 Miami last night, once again parked, getting cleaned up, and the cabin filled up with catering for inflight service. So, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard American Airlines Flight 1533 service to Miami :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states:. Let’s get this flight started.

Alright, I have boarded the plane @ 9:02 PM and got to my seat. Then at 9:35 PM, we pushed back from Gate C29 and the safety demo was demonstrated while we started up one engine. Then flaps were set to 15 degrees for takeoff before we started taxiing to RWY 1. Here we are, adjacent to RWY 1, taxiing with one engine before we crossed RWY 15.

Then after we crossed RWY 15, we started up the other engine before the captain announced, “Flight attendants, prepare for takeoff”, and then we lined up RWY 1 before our takeoff roll.

And off we go as we tookoff RWY 1, apparently, it was a short runway to where we did a very late rotation, meaning that we used literally the whole runway, and then spotting that American A321, holding short the opposite end of the runway. But anyways, off to Miami :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states:. Til next time Washington Ronald Reagan.

After we took off from Washington Ronald Reagan, we did that SID procedure where it was like the Potomac River approach RWY 19, but taking off the opposite direction, to avoid flying over the White House, and then banked to our right 180 degrees, flying Southwest en route to Miami :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states:, during our climb to FL360, flying past AFB airport in Delaware :united_states:.

Then we leveled off at FL360 after flying past AFB airport in Delaware and here we are flying along the coastline of Bible Belt :united_states:taken from Seat 14F :seat: . Then 10-20 minutes after we leveled off, the flight attendants started prepping the snacks and beverages to be put onto the cart before starting inflight service. Then the flight attendants started handing out both Biscoff cookies :cookie: and AA Mini Pretzels :pretzel:. So I got the Biscoff Cookies :cookie: and this time the Red Bag AA Mini Pretzels :pretzel: that says DFW at the bottom right and a cup of Coke Zero :cup_with_straw:, whilst I took out my Popcorners Kettle Corn Snack. Then after the snacking service, trash :wastebasket: was collected and then chewed my Mentos gum, and started listening to music :musical_notes: throughout the rest of the flight and even closed the window shades and slept :person_in_bed: for a short time.

Then waking up, opening up the window shades, I went to the lavatory to use the restroom :restroom:. After that, I went back to my seat, continued listening to music :musical_notes:. Then flying the Florida coastline, we began our descent onto Miami :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states:, where the seat belt sign was turned on for everyone to be seated during our descent and landing. Heading towards the South Florida coastline, we started banking slightly to our right, then left and then flying past Ft. Lauderdale airport, we then started banking to our right, entering the Miami airspace, flying left downwind, aiming for RWY 12 for landing at MIA airport, and then the captain goes, “Flight attendants, prepare for landing”, as I once again put my AirPods :headphone: away.

And here we are on short final RWY 12 MIA airport before touching down into the :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states: 305 Miami.

And ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Miami International Airport. We have just landed into Miami :palm_tree::smiling_face_with_sunglasses::united_states:. We exited RWY 12, and taxied to our arrival Gate D51, taking a shortcut, taxiing between the Concourse E satellite terminal and the Level 2 of Concourse E. And there goes a glimpse of Concourse F on the right.

And we have arrived at Gate D51 MIA airport @ 11:52 PM, eight minutes before midnight. Time to grab my stuff, exit the plane, and spend the night at the airport over here at Gate D51, getting some sleep :person_in_bed: , before waking up to head over as I initially saw, which was Gate D27 for my final leg to St. Maarten.

That completes the second leg of the St. Maarten trip. Hope you enjoyed it. So stay tune for the final leg, American Airlines Flight 593 on the B737-800 heading to St. Maarten. So be safe and have a blessed night.
