E-7A Wedgetail Blasting out of RAAF Amberley

First Spotting topic I’ve ever made!!!

Just this afternoon I got to catch a photo of A30-004 climbing at a blistering 4100 FPM!

Original photo (Aircraft is 5.3km from my house)

Slightly cropped, still not bad.
My dad (who works on the Wedgetail) said “Jeez they better not put any more stress on it otherwise we’ll have to order more parts for it!

Unfortunately this magnificent bird got a bit camera shy and flew south of my position back towards Newcastle

Luckily enough some other birds stayed around

Bonus shot

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day/night :waving_hand:t3:

You have earned my seal of approval :+1:
I see the coconut lorikeet all the time here in sg, it’s an invasive species from the pet trade.

The two lorikeets I see most commonly are the Rainbow lorikeets which are native to Australia and the Scaly-Breasted lorikeets which are also native to Australia but only found on the east coast

Thanks for the summon! Awesome shots! Pretty cool to see how powerful it is mechanical wise.
