We flew Dubai to Dallas last night after our quick flight from Muscat. Enjoy!
Touchdown Dubai! We just arrived from Muscat in Oman. The short flight was on this 77W. It took about 50 minutes and the landing was butter. We parked at the gate and deboarded the plane. Our layover here in Dubai is close to 2 hours, so we got some snacks and some early morning foods to eat before heading to our gate.
After an hour and a half, the boarding groups start to be called. We were first because we were group 1. We grabbed our bags and headed to the gate. We saw our plane for today. Am Emirates 77W. The aircraft is 12 years old and looks amazing! The sun was also rising in the horizon.
We walked down the jet bridge and made it to the plane. It was huge. We entered the plane and found our seats. The boarding process went very smoothly and we were able to pushback 10 minutes ahead of schedule!
We got a nice right side window seat. The sun was trying to peak above the horizon now as we finished the boarding process. The clouds started turning red which was kinda cool 😎. We had a company 77W off to our right side also heading to DFW. aka @Random_AviatorYT
We taxied to runway 12R for departure. We rotated off the ground and left Dubai. We got our last glimpse of the terminals before we relaxed for the 15 hour flight.
The sun had finally passed over the horizon as we reached our cruising altitude of 32 thousand feet. The flight attendants then came around with some snacks and beverages. They had some meals to offer so i decided to grab a cheese omelet for my breakfast. The food was amazing and id rate it 9/10! I was tired so i got some sleep and waited until we had reached the US.
I woke up 14 and a half hours later right as we were crossing into Texas. We were desending now and DFW was inching closer! We are going to be arriving on runway 17C at DFW.
Touchdown Dallas! We landed in Dallas after 15 hours and 12 minutes of flight time. The landing was late but a nice one to end a 15 hour flight. We exited right off the runway and started our taxi to the gate.
The taxi time was around 7 minutes, but we parked at the D Terminal at Dallas. As we came to a halt at the gate, a Qantas 787 was taxing behind us heading to Sydney, Australia. We deboarded the plane and found our way into the terminal of DFW.
As i look back out the window i can still see the Qantas taxing behind our aircraft. The ground crew was already at work getting all the cargo and stuff off the plane. We went down to the baggage claim to grab our bags before grabbing a taxi to head to our hotel. Overall, this was a very enjoyable ultra long haul! The best part was to be able to fly on such a nice and elegant aircraft!
