The Do J Wal was one of the first products of the German aircraft manufacturer Dornier. This aircraft was from the early 1920s. In 1926, a team of Spanish pilots crossed the South Atlantic, departing Huelva (Spain) on January 22nd 1926, and making several intermediate stops before arriving to Buenos Aires on February 10th 1926. The aircraft was then donated to the Armada Argentina by King Alfonso XIII, using it as a mail plane before being retired. In the 80s, the aircraft was sent back to Spain to restore it to air worthiness to redo the flight between Spain and Argentina. However, the aircraft was in such a poor state that the plans were ditched, the plane was returned to Argentina, and sent to Luján (city in Buenos Aires with important religious significance), where it is exhibited in the Museo del Transporte “Enrique Udaondo.”
