Officially - No.

There are however several topics on various forums to be found regarding this if you Google ā€Logitech Extreme 3D Pro compatibility with macOSā€.

You mean this topic?

I guess they are referring to what works with Infinite Flight. Not what works with macOS –> LiveFlight Connect using that joystick.

I’m not saying it doesn’t work. All am saying is that Logitech have no official support for that joystick used with a Mac.

Oh yeah but what I meant is about it working via LiveFlight connect

I’d throw @Cameron a PM to get more information. He can probably shed some more light on this :)

I know Saitek works but a lot of them won’t say if it is supported on Mac so I would double check with a quick google search.

I have the Logitech Ext 3D Pro and run it via my Mac or my SurfacePro depending on where I’m at home or traveling (hotel). The only issues that I’ve experienced so far is when I have multiple apps open (Mac) or when the screensaver initiates (Surface) the stick loses connection with LF Connect. Also encountered issues if the utilized wifi signal isn’t strong LF Connect occasionally drops out.

Side Note- I loved flying with a joystick ever since the old AOL days but I gotta tell ya, I prefer the mobility of IF on the iPhone or iPad which allows me to roam all over the house or sit on my deck with a beer watching KPHL arrivals and departures instead of parking at a desk with a joystick and 3 monitors.

Personally i use a joy stick for computer based Sims like X-Plane and IL-2. The nice thing about IF is the mobility and the option to play anywhere

I completely agree, having a joystick and a massive monitor but actually playing on a richly iPad screen wasn’t great and it eliminates the possibility of just launching the app and having a flight because instead you have to set everything up. There is a reason I don’t like PC gaming or simulators and using a joystick unfortunately makes IF Into a PC sim which lacks any sort of portability. As a result I returned my joystick and I’m happily doing without.
