Does the 737 Max need to be fixed?

Greetings, pilots!

I was surfing the Infinite Flight Community when I noticed a really nice post about the newly launched B737 MAX (737 Max 8 fixes). To be honest I did not notice them at first but when I took the 737 Max for a flight again, I found some minor issues. Please do not get me wrong, I was truly impressed by the level of detail and effort put into this aircraft. The cockpit looks fantastic, the exterior model is well-crafted, and the overall flight experience feels smooth and immersive.

However, while reading through the post, I noticed a few issues with the 737 MAX model that were pointed out by the community. One of the most noticeable concerns is the stabilizers, which appear to be bent upwards in Infinite Flight, whereas in reality, they are relatively flat.

Additionally, while the wings themselves are sufficiently flexible, I was a bit disappointed to see that the flaps do not exhibit any movement or flex.

Looking back at the previously launched A380, I found it to be flawless—at least in my experience. However, this time, the 737 MAX felt slightly below expectations in certain aspects. I understand that the development team may have been under pressure from the community to roll it out quickly, and I completely respect the effort that went into making it available. That said, I’m hopeful that future updates will bring some refinements to address these issues and make the aircraft even better.

What do you guys think? Am I missing anything here? Please let me know in the comment section!

Have a great day/night everyone!

I personally think this is making mountains out of molehills, but everyone is entitled to their opinions.

IMO it’s not a huge deal. I bet that at least 90% of people here do not care about these minute details.

I don’t know about you but they kind of rush the Stuff and sometimes thing go wrong (just saying)

I’m ok with the stabilizers but I do wish to see that gap in the wing be fixed

Honestly, I was amazed when I discovered how many posts were related to this. So I thought maybe I could help out!

All of these issues were caught in beta testing and were raised/bumped very frequently by us pre- and post-release. There’s no ETA yet on when, or if these will be addressed.

Totally agree! However, I do believe that IF is one of the best—if not the best—flight simulators on mobile. Keeping aircraft realistic has always been its competitive advantage, in my opinion.

Indeed, we’ve been putting a lot of pressure on the devs, and they might not have enough time to address every issue. However, I believe they haven’t compromised on quality, nor have they been forced to deliver subpar products. We all owe them a big thank you for their work, and hopefully, they’ll be able to fix those issues soon!

Let’s hope it happens soon

It’s not rushed.
The thing is;
We could work an indefinite amount of time perfecting things to a rather unrealistic level. But then we wouldn’t be sitting here today even talking about the MAX because it wouldn’t be released yet. Heck, same goes for the A380.

It’s not that we don’t want things to be perfect. But you sometimes reach a point when things just have to be shipped.

As Toaster mentioned, these things are noted internally and when we feel that there are resources to commit to issues such as this - we will.

I think in the next update they will fix it all but we wait patiently

I agree that these things need to be fixed. I also noticed that the leading edge slats have a really bad curve to them and are thicker than the ones in real life are so hopefully this will get fixed as well.

If anything, what needs to be fixed asap is the missing kgs of the airframe.

Nah, l like flying the Max on 14 hour flights lol

I second this, I know the team will address this, or at least hopefully, but the aircraft being underweight significantly is the biggest gripe I have with it.

Exactly, the plane feels WAY too light, especially on departure

Even at heavy weights, simbrief gives me rotation speeds in the 120’s for a flight over 5 hours. Just doesn’t make sense.

I agree, I thought I was the only one. I feel like the plane picks up speed waayyy to quickly. Even when my weight/balance settings are heavy. I feel like it climbs like a rocket all the time in a way that feels like a 757 and in real life I don’t think the max can power out of places like it does in IF.
