I was looking at Netflix and Amazon prime video, and I couldn’t find any aviation shows that looked good. So, I was wondering if any of you guys know of/ have watched an aviation show on either that you would recommend.
Operation Overdue on Amazon Prime. Can’t say enough about that one, Mt. Erebus disaster is not typically remembered and this is a great show detailing the recovery operation at the bottom of the world.
Also try Leaving the Earth, a documentary about Denny Fitch starring the man himself (rest in peace, sir.) Also on YouTube check out Captain Van’s lecture series for the American Airlines Advanced Aircraft Manuvering Program.
How about the movie stealth… it’s about top secret navy Aircrafts that switches wing configuration to delta wings and hit Mach 9+. And that movie was out in the 2000’s. IT WAS MIND BLOWING.
Not on AMAZON or Netflicks but good old You tube. First saw this on TV a few years ago and was on a BA flight back from the states last month and it was on the ICE. Found full video on you tube.
It shows how pilots where trained back in the 1960’s to be an airline pilot. A little different from the MPL’s of today but shows all about base and line training as well as basic flight school not to mention vintage VC-10’s
