I hope this is the right place: let me know if this should be moved to Meta.
For me, the IFC is a daily part of my routine. It’s the first thing I read in the morning before the New York Times, and it’s one of the things I check regularly.
My question is, do you read most/all posts on the forum? Are there some you skip over, whether new or in unread? Which threads do you track?
I read almost every post. It is amazing how much activity the forum has during the day at sometimes. I check in probably every other hour if not that busy. If I am busy that day i probably check in 4 times. The only time I am not responding to things is overnight.
Definitely not. I read (most) spotting topics and I’ll look at anything that has regards to fuel/running out of fuel/range. Outside of that, I only read if the title catches my eye or if I’m sent something by a friend.
I tend to respond to features and support right away while other categories such as general or screen shots I will check those maybe 2 times a day. I am just happy that I am still able to spend like 10 minutes going through things and leave it alone for awhile.
I never knew I would be saying this but I do the same 💀. I need to evaluate and change my morning routine, maybe add a few pushups in there rather than doing it in the hot afternoon 😂. Anyways back to the topic, there’s sometimes topics which are very interesting and I do attempt to look at most of them apart from Features and some Support categories and many others apart from some like screenshots and videos and RWA mainly.
Adding onto what I said before, the first thing I do, is get it DM’s (if any) or any responses. Then after that, I just hang around and engage with different topics.
Hahaha, yes! I check every IFC Topic since 1.5 years, if I remeber correctly. I may not read Events topics and replies in their entirety (meaning that I scroll down pretty fast through the replies, reading quickly everything), or similar, but yes, I read most of (if not all) the posts on the IFC :)
I’m sorry but if you are reading every post on this forum, respectfully, touch grass. Not sure I was ever there, but I’ve been close, being that involved in any online community isn’t great imo
In terms of most frequent habits in going through posts, I’d say I most often:
1)select general and look for what of interest stands out
2)have more tendency not to look at latest comments on long running open topics
3)glance at support and/or quickly scan down the recent list of all topics combined
Yet, I can’t count the number of times I later stumbled onto an interesting dialogue I missed from days or weeks prior.
