Do you prefer Takeoff or Landing ? IRL

This is a pretty simple question just wanted to know what you guys prefer. I honestly prefer takeoff as it gives me goosebumps everytime I hear the engines roar up and being pressed against my seat as the plane speeds down the runway.

apologies if this topic is a duplicate couldn’t find any other posts on this

I prefer landings to takeoffs, maybe its just me but when the plane lands and you feel nothing until you hear the engines, it’s the best feeling in the world. Or it’s because I’m already at my destination.

That feeling when the engines spool up and begin to roar the aviation lover’s roar, and when the aircraft starts rolling…and rolling…and rolling…until you’re going 140 mph down the runway, and that g force when you leap into the the sky is like no else.

I enjoy take off more if I’m not nervous if I’m nervous landing because by the time of landing I’m not nervous hahaha.

Landing. I love it when the thrust reverse comes in

Both. That’s the best answer. I really like them both as they get my heart beating

Omg I can’t imagine a cooler part of a flight than turning on final having the runway in sight and slowly begin to deploy the spoilers. Keep an eye on your speed and your descent rate while watching out for terrain and the touchdown zone (talking about flying a glider btw). Love itšŸ˜

Landing is more challenging than any other part of the flight isn’t it?

As a passenger, I find takeoffs more fun. Although as the pilot, the landings are better.

Taking off duh! ā€œFor once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.ā€ Leonardo da Vinci

I prefer takeoffs more than landings, because it just gives me a sense of awe, and that build up of excitement prior to taking off. taxiing to the runway, and lining up knowing that you are minutes from lifting off is just amazing. Then comes the fun part where the pilots first spool the engines to 40% then takeoff thrust is set which is the best feeling in the world as you are compressed to your seat as you go down the runway until you hit Vr.

And the wing flex on some aircraft is absolutely epic :D

Landing, especially the approach, viewing all the scenery and seeing how well pilots can handle crosswinds and you get to see everything in the wind working (slats, flaps, ailerons, spoiler etc etc)

I always enjoy takeoff more because you can look forward to spending a bunch of time on a plane! Landing, although spectacular for views, is rather depressing as you’ll have to get off the plane soon.

On landing, when those beautiful spoilers extend up,and the sound of those thrust reversers extending! The only time when I’m sad about landing is if I’m flying on Ryanair.

I like takeoff because American is kinda like the American Ryanair whenever I do a connection

I like takeoff because it sounds and feels great when the engines give thrust

The sound of 50…40…30…20…10 cannot be beaten!!
