So ive been trying to get into ifatc and one of the things i was confused abt was if you needed discord to join. Also, can anyone give me some tips on how to become atc?

If you read the act section I’m sure the info will be in there, but from what I can remember basically discord was for the controllers to one communicate if need be, say what stations are being opened/closed. Tips I’d say just have a good understanding before applying of atc to pass the training and test at the end, and the videos on infinite flight YouTube are good for atc, or even if you have expert grade 3, join a gate and tune tower to listen into the atc and see how the controller enters aircraft for landing / pattern work and takeoff etc etc . Yes. All primary communications are done thru discord. We dropped slack a long time ago,
