You need to pay to play online after you purchase the game. You can choose between monthly and annual subscription. With annual subscription you get all regions and all planes.
You dont need the subscription to play the game however.
You can pay through the app though with your Apple ID or equivalent for androids
You need to pay for Live, it’s $4.99 for a month, and $49.99 for a year, including all planes and regions.
