So I was just flying in Australia and I was going to land in Sydney so I contacted Sydney approach. I told the controller my intensions and the controllers gave me instructions but then he said that there was going to be a controllers change. So my question is, do I need to say my intensions again to the new controller or will he already know them from the old controller?

I was the controller changing out… you should be good as long as i responded back to you. It’s possible in the few seconds of a transition that a controller would not be able to respond.
If you got a response, it means that you will be tagged with that designation. The next controller will see it.
Now with that said, the new controller - or controllers in this case - could hypothetically alter the plan with their course of action.
