Had an issue with issuing pushback recently not sure if it’s just a bug or I am doing something wrong. I give a DNP pushback and the system shows pushback to north for example, once I officially issue the push it gives a different direction. Not sure if it’s an issue with me moving my finger but I wouldn’t expect it to do this. This photo is upright in terms of the airport. Was debating putting this in ATC but decided it was better in support.
I think this is pretty common, I’ve experienced this a lot, as well. Adding on to that: At some instances, when utilizing the DNP feature, the system recognizes it as a Taxi instruction and tells the pilot: “Taxi to…” instead of “Pushback approved…”.
I’ve found this happens quite often where you issue a DnP and the direction in the voice/text command says “pushback approved, tail to the north”
Does it still give the correct pushback direction (like is it issue just the voice?)
If you were to zoom in, the last node on the path will be in a different spot than you were expecting. This will result in the TTS issuing a different cardinal direction.
Push only works with aircraft engines off. Taxi only works with engines on. If you use the drop menu rather than actually trying to drag from the start, it’s easy to see which pilots are doing it right and which are doing it wrong.
