Description

After going direct to a waypoint on an instrument procedure, if you go direct to another waypoint not in any instrument procedure, the dashed lnav line will go off the previous direct to waypoint instead of the current position.

For example, while flying the SUMMR2 SID out of LAX, if I am direct OLOFF and decide to go direct CFBCT before reaching OLOFF, the dashed lnav line will go off of the DRCT waypoint for OLOFF instead of the newly created DRCT waypoint for CFBCT.

A temporary fix is to just delete to DRCT waypoint for OLOFF and reactivate the direct to waypoint, but that gets pretty tedious.

Able to reproduce the issue. Direct leg originates from original DRCT point instead of the aircraft’s new position. I even tried another waypoint within the procedure bracket with the same result.
