Direct route over the Himalayas

I really want to know if there are any direct flights over the Himalaya Mountains. First of all id love to fly over the Himalayas for their beauty and im kind of a turbulence chaser so I’d enjoy the severe turbulence that they produce. If there are any direct flights over the himalayas please tell what they are, the plane used, and the livery.

Happy flying- stormy

Airlines are usually, if not all the time, not permitted to cross over the Himalayas. There’s a lot of reasons why, so they would fly around them.

Closest to my knowledge that you could get would be the well known Kathmandu to Paro as a Royal Bhutan Airways A319. It’s got a fun approach that I’m sure you’re aware of.

Definitely a tricky one 😂 Here’s a great guide I use, @lucaviness has quite the knowledge on it too.

Hey! If you’re looking for a Himalayan flight you could also try Leh Airport (VILH), which is a 3D airport.

It’s got one of the most challenging approaches in India, and there’s a tutorial for it here:

hey. normally planes don’t fly over the Himalayas. but the Indian air force does patrol the region so you can grab a fighter jet and fly along the indo-china border and return to where you started from.

You can fly the Beijing-Lhasa route which takes you to the Himalayan valley! Its also very beautiful to fly there!
