Everyone here in this community giving a diplomatic answers and replies..
I get you.
It can get so annoying when you just want a straight answer and the whole community turns into a group of perfectly balanced diplomats like it’s the of Infinite Flight.
I’ll make sure to berate people who make a small mistake from now on. I’ll switch over to using acronyms and slang. I’ll shove my opinions in people’s faces and be brutally honest and blunt. TFW someone asks a simple question? I’m gonna hit 'em with the F.Y.I., B.S., and T.L.D.R. of life. No cap, I’ll let everyone know that their ideas are just L.O.L. and get ready for some major R.O.F.L. when I drop the S.M.H. truth bombs. All of that P.M.S. energy, straight up!
I honestly don’t even know what I just said, I couldn’t even read that back to you.
It’s usually children who are trying to seem “sophisticated” and “grown up” because they somehow think that will get them to a higher trust level on the IFC. For many, the community is their life - they want to put a lot of effort into it.
Surely I myself was in the same boat many years ago…
@Muktharr I’m guessing you are referring to the answer I gave in your previous post? If that’s the case, I do apologize, I will gladly be upfront and direct. I tend to do my best to write my replies in a way that doesn’t rely on tone (since that cannot be transferred through text) and as such perhaps end up being a little wordy or, as you said, “diplomatic.” But I don’t think people mean anything wrong or malicious by it, I think it’s just hard to explain things through a screen, and as such people keep to a cautious side. Feel free to correct me if my response is wrong though, I don’t mind. At the end of the day this forum is a massive melting pot of people from any and every country who all share a passion for aviation, and that should be enough for us to have fun and wholesome conversations for the rest of our lives!
Honestly, the only reason people speak so respectfully, is because we all share the same interest. Aviation brings us together, so we show each other respect, and try to help each other.
i can agree on this but till the info which are being provided by children are right we should not have problem with their ‘wanna be grown up’ nature as they are trying to act mature .
It’s often very difficult to convey tone and emotion through a paragraph of text. I see it more as members of this community wanting to provide mature, helpful responses.
Diplomatic answers? On the IFC? Nah. We don’t do that here. That being said…
We appreciate the time taken to share reflections in this space. Expressions of perspective, in all their variety, form a vital part of any shared discourse, and the presence of differing viewpoints is neither unexpected nor unwelcome.
At times, conversations naturally reach an inflection point – not due to any specific remark or contributor, but rather as a result of the organic rhythm that dialogue assumes in public forums. In such instances, gentle stewardship becomes necessary to preserve the tenor and texture of the broader environment.
With this in mind, and with sincere regard for all voices expressed, we will be concluding this thread at this juncture.
We remain grateful for continued engagement across discussions, each of which contributes in its own way to the evolving fabric of this community.
