Wanted to know function of APU start and on buttons in 20.01 update.
The APU gives the aircraft power while on the ground. If your engines aren’t on and your APU is off your avionics will switch off as they need power.
Definitely check this out:
I’ve been using it to familiarise myself with the new features. I’d highly recommend having a look.
I understand the functionality and purpose of APU in real life but what’s the purpose of APU start and on button in IF? What each button does?
The start button starts the APU, after a few seconds it will switch to ‘on’ on its own
APU Start is used when initially turning on your aircraft. It will turn ‘ON’ after a few seconds. You use this to power your aircraft prior to starting the engines.
