I’ve been noticing recently that when I try to fly a route from the USA to Europe for example when I’ve tried to do routes like Miami to London, Miami to Frankfurt or even Boston to Munich today that my device crashes somewhere in flight I have an IPad Mini 4 for refernence if anyone else has this same device or is having this same problem could you please tell me what I could do to further prevent this from happening it’s becoming extremely frustrating.
Especially on long hauls. When cruising on long hauls I usually turn my rendering settings to low. Also make sure anti-aliasing is usually off and max for is 30
Oh ok thank you my graphics i’ve had it on before hasn’t caused me issues until now but I appericate your help! I believe I have anti-aliasing off always but I’ll make sure I turn down the rendering settings when I do Washington Dulles to Dubai with the Emirates A380 tonight!
Hey so I checked and my fps was at 30 and my anti alisaing is off so I went and set some things to low could that help and should I turn down my brightness as well?
Hey so my device still crashed even after I lowered all the graphics and turned my brightness down since my IPad was in my room with me while I sleept it seems that my IPad crashed while I was on approach to Dubai not sure why this is has this happened to anyone else or is it just me?
Unfortunately if you’ve tried lowering everything and your device still crashes, it may be time to purchase a more powerful and capable device
Your iPad mini 4 has only 2GB RAM, short of Infinite Flight’s recommendation of 3GB or more as seen here. Because there is more short-term data trying to be stored than your RAM can handle, your iPad forcefully quits the app. Upgrading to a device with more RAM reduces your chances of crashing significantly
