The purpose of this thread is to have a wiki where people can submit what device they use, what quality they use, and how well it runs, so that’s over time we can build up a list of compatible devices, and how well those devices work on what settings. So if anyone asks about if their device is supported or if a certain device works well with Infinite Flight, we can direct them to this list!
This thread has been made a wiki so that you guys can add your devices to the list.
However, please do not edit devices that have already been added, and do not edit the general thread format
When Adding a device to the list, please use the below format for both Android and iOS devices. Please be as honest as possible about your device performance.
If you wish to add your opinion on why you like the device, feel free to do so in notes, but again, please be as honest as possible, but try keep it brief so I don’t hit the character limit on this thread :)
Thankyou to GSMArena for their free to use website in which a lot of data is used in this thread
Adding your Device
Regulars, when adding to this list please use ‘Hide Details’ so this post isn’t a giant flood of text. If you are not adding to this and are just posting on the thread then there is no need as a Regular will do it for you.
If you have any issues or questions about a device, it’s best to contact the user that posted the specifications. Their names are located next to the Device name.
If your device is already listed above, feel free to give your interpretation of its performance. The more data we can get on a specific device, the more reliable. Please note when adding devices, general discussion is allowed, however debating over Android/ iOS and performance can be done via a PM.
Add new devices to the END of the list unless otherwise specified. Makes it easier for me to monitor any significant changes.
High Performance Phones
The phones featured in this part are Android Greats, the most powerful phones under this operating system. No matter what your preference, there is definitely an Android Phone to fit your needs.
Primarily Google, Sony and Samsung in this part
Google Pixel 5 - 2020
Google Pixel 5 - @Kirito_77
OS: Android 11
Hardware : Snapdragon 765G, 8GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit Framerate: Off
Airplane Count: High
Notes: A very good performer, but I found it could lag slightly at a full airport. Lowering the resolution slightly gave no visual impact and boosted performance. Too small for me sadly so back to the 4XL. 4a 5G should perform the same as it has near identical specs. Excellent battery and 90Hz is a welcome bonus
Google Pixel 4XL - 2019
Google Pixel 4XL - @Kirito_77
OS: Android 11
Hardware : Snapdragon 855, 6GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit Framerate: Off
Airplane Count: Very High
Notes: Excellent device, nice and smooth with the 90Hz screen. Battery life is okay but nothing special, has perhaps the best display on a phone I have ever used. Stock Android and a very nice feel in the hand, would recommend
Google Pixel 4 - 2019
Google Pixel 4 - @Adam_S
OS: Android 11
Hardware: Snapdragon 855, 6GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit Framerate: Off (I keep it on in favour of having the battery last longer, phone does heat up if it is off.)
Airplane Count: Very High
Notes : The Pixel 4 will get you through the longest of flights with no worries at all, you’ll be able to fly into any FNF, regardless of how many aircraft there are, without encountering any lag, at all. If you’re looking for a phone as your daily driver, I would definitely recommend the Pixel 4
Google Pixel 3XL - 2018
Google Pixel 3XL - @Kirito_77
OS: Android 11
Hardware: Snapdragon 845, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-aliasing: On
Limit Frame Rate: Off
Note: Picked up in 2020, this is still an excellent phone to use for flying and day to day tasks. Runs the simulator exceptionally well and has that great “pixel feel” to it that you simply do not get from any other devices.
Google Pixel 3 - 2018
Google Pixel 3 - @Adam_S
OS: Android 11
Hardware: Snapdragon 845, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture Quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit Framerate: Off (I keep it on, its really personal preference, should be fine if its off)
Airplane Count: Very High
Notes: A very powerful phone that runs Infinite Flight extremely well, I reckon its one of the best phones to play Infinite Flight on.
Google Pixel 2XL - 2017
Google Pixel 2XL - @Kirito_77
OS: Android 11
Hardware: Snapdragon 835, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: Medium
Texture quality: High
Anti-aliasing: On
Limit Frame Rate: Off
Airplane Count: High
Note: Still going strong 3 years after release, is now end of life for updates. Might be worth considering an AOSP ROM to extend its life further.
Google Pixel 2 - 2017
Google Pixel 2 - @Niccckk
OS: Android 11
Hardware: Snapdragon 835, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Airplane count: Very High
Notes: Still a very powerful phone in 2019. I hardly ever experience any issues with this device, besides the occasional lag at busy airports, like FNF. You will feel the phone heat up while in flight, but it’s still super fast, and would still recommend buying today. EOL for updates.
Razer Phone 2 - 2018
Razer Phone 2 - @AXEL_GAMING
OS: Android 9 Pie
Hardware: Snapdragon 845, 8GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit Framerate: Off
Airplane Count: Very High
Notes:The Razer Phone 2 is a gaming beast. Maybe the 120hz screen is a gimmick, but cool. It is cooled by a vapor chamber so from my use it has been not overall hot, but keeps temps low. But overall good as a daily driver. Speakers are banging awesome.
Razer Phone - 2017
Razer Phone - @Kirito_77
OS: LineageOS 17.1
Hardware: Snapdragon 835, 8GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-aliasing: On
Limit Frame Rate: Off
Note: 120HZ, 1440p and 8GB RAM make this the ultimate phone for flying, watching videos and just general use. Easily the smoothest device I have ever owned, more than any iOS device. Though razer quality control means the screen is screwed. Still works fine through ADB though.
Samsung Galaxy S20FE 5G - 2020
Samsung Galaxy S20FE 5G - @EyesSkyward
OS: OneUI 2.5
Hardware: Snapdragon 865, 6/8GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Aircraft Count: Very High
Notes: With all settings to the max it works super well. You can expect even better performance from the 256GB 5G version as it has 8GB RAM as opposed to 6. Can heat up a little bit
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G - 2019
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G - @The_Wolf
OS: Android 9.0 Pie
Hardware: Snapdragon 855, 12GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Aircraft Count: Very High
Notes: Exceptional performance from a phone with a crystal glass back. The best of smartphones certainly doesn’t disappoint with the smoothest gameplay present on a phone.
Samsung Galaxy S10+ - 2019
Samsung Galaxy S10+ - @ServerGhost
OS: Android 9.0
Hardware: Snapdragon 855, 12GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Aircraft Count: Very High
Notes: This device is insane, with the highest possible settings available the Galaxy S10+ outperforms the previous S9+ I used for Infinite Flight.
Waiting on some screen size fixes, overall a beautiful device in aesthetic and performance!
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - 2018
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 - @Nichalas_Petranek
OS: Android 9.0 Pie
Hardware: Exynos 9810, 8GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Airplane count: Very High
Notes: Runs flawlessly and looks absolutely stunning. Full screen on all Samsung devices has previously been fixed. Samsung’s version of Android 9 is faster than before, if still a little bloated.
Samsung Galaxy S9 - 2018
Samsung Galaxy S9 - @OC212 & @ServerGhost
OS: Android 9.0 Oreo
Hardware: Exynos 9810 or Snapdragon 845, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Aircraft Count: High
Notes: The S9 is Samsung’s 2018 flagship, however is a minimalist upgrade of the S8. It will throttle aggressively if not handled correctly
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 - 2017
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 - @The_Wolf
OS: Android 8.1 Oreo
Hardware: Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835, 6BG
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-aliasing: ON
Limit Frame Rate: OFF
Note: With these settings Infinite Flight looks stunning on the Note 8’s huge screen. Worth to mention that with the Frame Limiter set to Off, the phone tends to push itself to the limits no matter how crowded the airport is nearby, which can make it really hot.
Samsung Galaxy S8+ - 2017
Samsung Galaxy S8+ - @ThomasR
OS: Android 8.1 Oreo
Hardware: Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture Quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit frame rate: On
Notes: Runs very well on high quality settings. If the airport is busy you may sometimes need to turn off anti-aliasing to reduce some lag. Overall you will receive a high quality experience from this device.

Hardware: Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Airplane count: Very High
Low-power mode: Off
Notes: Screen brightness sometimes all the way up, don’t see an issue with performance even though the phone is rendering high resolution. AMOLED has proved prone to burn in, lower brightness during flights.
OnePlus 8T - 2020
OnePlus 8T - @CrazyBee
OS: OxygenOS 11
Hardware: Snapdragon 865, 8/12GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High

Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture Quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Airplane count: Very High

Note: The best smartphone of 2018 you can get for less than 600$ brand new. It offers one of the best experience of Android you can have with Oxygen OS. There are no fancy, gimmicky, useless features causing your phone to be more prone to lag (looking at you Samsung). Lag? Pfff, what’s Lag?

Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High

OS: Android 9
Hardware: Snapdragon 835, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: On
Airplane count: Very High
Notes: Slightly dated design, but a nice small phone with a lot of power makes a convenient little device for running IF. Sony phones are always really nice, they just don’t visually represent it.
Sony XZ1 Compact - 2017
Sony Xpeira XZ1 Compact - @EyesSkyward
OS: Android 9
Hardware: Snapdragon 835, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High

Hardware: Snapdragon 845, 6GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Anti-aliasing: On
Limit Frame Rate: Off
**Note: a Snapdragon 845 in a £250 phone!! Picked up in 2020 at so far so good it’s an excellent phone.
Top notch Medium contenders
The devices that are powerful, for a considerably lower price, new or 2nd hand. You’ll find Honor, Huawei and Redmi devices here, due to the lower brand recognition and their lack of availability in America.
Samsung Galaxy A10e - 2019
Samsung Galaxy A10e - @Murphy

Hardware: Exynos 7884, 2GB
Rendering Quality: Medium

Hardware: Exynos 7904, 3/4/6GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Airplane Count: High
Notes: Will get you through flights even overnighters. I would suggest activating developer mode in order to ensure the device stays on for a longer time than 10 min though even the screen lock feature works in ensuring the device stays on. (Not so sure about the settings for this one… k_77)
Samsung Galaxy A5 - 2017
Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 - @ItzEhs

Hardware: Snapdragon 820, 4GB
Rendering Quality: Medium
Rendering Resolution: Medium
Texture quality: High
Anti-Aliasing: On
Limit framerate: Off
Notes: Runs IF without problems on highest settings, though on busy airports it can lag and I have to turn off anti-aliasing. Can be repurchased for a reasonable price. Be wary of heat.
Sony Xperia Z5 - 2015
Sony Xperia Z5 - @kirito_77
OS: LineageOS 17.1
Hardware: Snapdragon 810, 3GB
Rendering Quality: Medium
Rendering Resolution: Medium
Texture Quality: High
Anti- Aliasing: On
Limit Frame Rate: On
Notes: A beautiful display, the Z5 can be picked up in the 32gb variant for under £150. Is worth noting that the device does struggle around a busy airport and is cursed by its SOC (edit: flashing a modified kernel and using lineage seems to have fixed this)
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact - 2014

OS: Android 6.1.1 Marshmallow
Hardware: Snapdragon 801, 2GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: Medium
Texture Quality: High
Anti- Aliasing: On
Limit Frame rate: On

OS : Android 9 Pie
Hardware: Snapdragon 821, 4GB
Rendering Quality: High
Rendering Resolution: High
Texture Quality: Medium
Anti-Aliasing: Off
Limit Frame Rate: On
