Destination Proximity Timer (Global Flight)

This is basically a time notification (didn’t know what else to call it) for pilots. This would be for global flight. What would happen is you’d takeoff from, say, LAX, flying to LHR. Once you’re in the air you set the in game timer, which goes off when you’re within a certain radius of your destination.

This seems like a good idea, I would probably always forget that I have a flight.

That and if you do an over night flight, the timer will wake you up in time to land.

Interesting idea. I would just set a timer on an alarm clock or another device

Just put on APPR the whole way and you will be free to sleep without any fears unless the plane lands while you sleep.

With APPR on you can’t go above 200 knots.

Actually 250 kt

No he’s right. Try engaging app at 250 kts and see what happens

Maybe they changed it but I will take a screen shot.

I tested it. If you’re <250 knots you can enable it.

Or what if when you reached you’re top of descent the game pauses this could work in solo or even live

Forget “probably”…I do it now! lol
Set auto pilot on a 45 minute flight, my 1 year old daughter starts crying and before I know it this happens… 😂

It’s a good idea but I think this is more of a feature for LiveFlight since it monitors your whole flight anyway, it might as well send notifications to your phone or computer.

@Cameron

No. Absolutely not. If you’re not keeping track of your own flight you should not be doing such a long route. If center contacts you while you’re away, enjoy your 7 day ban.
