Descending for landing

So today i was flying to the same airports like i said i was i start to decent everything is set flaps full spoilers armed auto brakes so i descending im just staying at the same speed how does things like this even happen? ive tried everything trims not helping as well i keep descending and stay at the same speed and my vs if perfect to is it just me or you know cuz i really don’t know what to do if i watch a decent tutorial and if it does work im taking this post down (:

Its just a spoiler issue if im getting this correct infinite flight doesn’t have the best spoilers if you want to slow down you will have to put vs to about -1100 to 0

Let’s practice our analysis capability, shall we?

From the four fundamental forces of flight (thrust, lift, drag, and weight), what would directly contribute to speed?

Once you figure that out, you can start analyzing what’s causing that force to continue to keep your speed to be constant.

Why do you think you need to put your vertical speed selector between -1100 to 0? Why do you think the spoiler is not doing much for you? Again, think from the four fundamental forces of flight.

Spoilers “armed” is different than spoilers actually being used in-air as “speed brakes” (in IF known as spoilers “flight”). Spoilers “armed” is a function for touchdown/ground.

Spoilers “flight” is for use when you’re in the air still.

With that said, is it possible you had spoilers armed in-air when you really meant for the speed brakes/ spoilers “flight” to be deployed?

nope i had it on flight nice guess tho i clearly said it tried everything

Also, when you arm the autobrakes, it automatically reverts spoilers back to “armed” even if you were on “flight.”

Is that a possibility?

yes i think that happens it goes back to armed because your not airborne

Setting autobrakes will arm spoilers regardless of whether you’re in the ground or in the air.

ok? dont see why i need to know this lol

its not gonna set it bud

your wrong it does not do that you have to set it your self lol

Edit: Also, what part of the descent are you specifically referring to?

nobody is thinking about gravity during a flight, spoilers don’t necessarily do what they need to do in Infinite flight end of statement.

mmm interesting

What aircraft were you flying? Were you using VNAV?

When you say you set flaps to full, was this as you were just starting your descent?

No, you are wrong. It automatically does it.

im aware sorry my bad

bro the flaps were set bro nothing happend at all

i was flying an a380 descending and the airspeed stayed the same even though everything was set man

Was your speed not set as well, by mistake?
