Oregon001:
cloud chaser isn’t really that good, if there’s good snow it is but it’s really flat and a nightmare for snowboarders. my favorite is probably northwest, although i’m stuck on skyliner for race training most of the time
My dad grew up on bachelor and Willamette pass!
And always tells me stories about Northwest ans having speed races with his friends on the catchline

This is an incredibly bumpy flight. I’m flying over mountains with a 40kts crosswind. Pain

I’ve only seen the sun 4 or 5 times since the new year. Today was one of those days here in Nevada. So much snow though so no more drought I hope!
If my flight disappears, that’s because I paused it due to homework needing to be done…
oh yeah it’s speedy alright, i’ve gone over 80 mph there.

A few months back, Alaska Air Group had announced by the end of Q1 2023 its DASH8 Q400 fleet will be retired, making Alaska Horizon an all jet fleet of E175s. Many sources I’ve seen are pointing to January 2023 as the final month of in service operations for the Q400s.
So after countless years of them humming overhead around the Pacific Northwest and a slightly outside of it, I thought we should give them a send off of sorts. That’ll be in the form of a massive Q…

Welcome to the Very Large Portland Flyout!
[THEFLYOUT]
Portland International is the largest airport in the state of Oregon. It has service to places all over the country and even some international flights, from big name cities like Los Angeles and New York to lesser known ones like Fresno and Newport. From wide bodies like the A330 to small turbo props like the Q400. There’s a fair amount of variety here.
The airport is in Northern Oregon, not the Portland on the east coast j…

Story time.
Virgin America’s merger into Alaska Air in 2018 saw Alaska Air end up with a fleet of A319s, A320s and A321neos. Alaska Air was no longer “proudly all Boeing” as they like to stencil on their 737s. That also began the thoughts of when Alaska would phase out the Airbus fleet. Initially estimates were well into the decade, especially for the A321neo, but times have changed.
The massive fall in passenger demand, thanks to the well-known pandemic, saw the dem…

I somehow made it to Portland in one piece. Its surprising that my plane didn’t shake it self apart during the flight. I also has a 17kts crosswind on landing. I will not show my landing for the following reason: I am utterly ashamed of it lol
