Will the CS100/A220 replace any aircraft currently in the Delta Fleet?

Okay, so what exactly is the Airbus A200 series? Wasn’t previously owned by bombardier or something?

Yes, it is replacing the MD-80 family.

Okay, so A200 series was originally the CS series owned by Bombardier? Why did the series go from a bombardier aircraft to Airbus?

Charlie, refer to this post in the Airbus A220 topic

I really would love to fly on this plane!

Thanks for the reference

From what I had read quite a while ago, the A220s will be based primarily at Delta’s NYC and LAX hubs. This could obviously change once the aircraft are all in service though.

I thought the A220 was going to be used for Delta Connection, but it makes sense to use it to replace the mad-dogs

Regional jets have less than 100 seats, but the A220 holds more passengers than that, so it’s going to be a mainline aircraft.
