Good morning or afternoon, or evening. It’s me. deltaoutofdca again. It’s been a while. I’ve been gone since July 28th, 2024. A year and a half, or 533 days*.*
I’ve mostly kept flying in Infinite Flight. I’ve broken my flight time records, I hit 1,000 flight hours, and I reached 1 million XP. Since I’ve left, there’s been a total of two updates. 24.2 and 25.1. Maybe three, as 26.1 should be close to releasing or released by January 12th.
Anyways, in the last few weeks I’ve started to shift away from Infinite Flight, focus on starting my biggest goal, obviously, becoming a pilot 
. I’m mostly going to be moving on from infinite flight, and slowly moving on to MSFS. Then maybe I’ll start training to be a real pilot.
In three years I can legally get a pilots license in some states. Though I won’t get a PPL when I’m 16, I hope that the sooner I can get it, the more motivated I am to start flying. I think I can learn a lot more than clicking buttons on my iPad. Though most infinite players are older than me, I feel it’s already time to move on. I’m older, and I now can put more effort into more complicated things.
But, infinite flight does hold a lot of memories. On Christmas Day in 2018, 5 and almost 6 year old me, was shown a game by my dad. Infinite Flight. It was cool. Like really cool. I wasn’t the best pilot, but I tried.
By 2021 I was getting used to it. I did my first long haul. I was doing pretty good, with good landings, and actually filing my flight plans. In 2022 I started doing regional flights, which is now my favorite part of Infinite Flight, and mid 2023 I had learned STARS and SIDS. It was a lot for a 7-10 year old:zany_face:. But backed by my young knowledge for aviation, I was pretty good at it for my age!
But it wasn’t until November 2023 when I made my account on IFC. I had a good time on IFC, but when I got suspended for age, I thought it was a big deal. I thought I couldn’t have fun sharing screenshots, talking to people about the game and more.
But, like I said, I’ve switched interests. I now see my suspension as a break. A really good one! I read the IFC often, but only a couple topics. I’ve started designing my own model airports, collected a lot of model airplanes, and traveled around to more places in the world. Most of all I’ve gotten older.
While it might seem like I’m acting like the IFC and Infinite Flight isn’t just a flight simulator and a forum where you talk about that flight simulator, all 6 years of flying and a year of IFC were really fun experiences. While I plan to cancel my infinite flight subscription, I will check IFC, I’ll still post, I’ll still read, but IFC’s just changed a lot in a short amount of time. New members joining, old friends leaving, and a lot of changes to the physical website.
I’ve always loved airplanes and Infinite Flight has really helped me with aviation and my love for it. Anyways, I’ll see you guys around.
