Delta Connection CRJ-900 Fayetteville/Bentonville to New York-LaGuardia

Trip to the Big Apple from the rapidly growing Fayetteville/Bentonville area in Northwest Arkansas on one of Delta Connection’s 76-seat CRJ-900s operated by Endeavor Air. This is one of those small, college town airports, as the University of Arkansas is located in Fayetteville, earning it the nickname of Athens of the Ozarks.

Airline: Delta Connection (Operated by Endeavor Air)

Origin: Northwest Arkansas National Airport, Fayetteville, Arkansas (XNA)
Destination: LaGuardia Airport, New York City, New York (LGA)

Route: KXNA-KLGA
Seat: 9D (Delta Comfort+)
Time En Route: 2 Hours 46 Minutes

At the boarding area for Gate A11, waiting to get on the second of Delta Connection’s twice-daily flights to New York

Seated in the rearmost row of the Comfort+ section, which on a CRJ isn’t saying all that much, but it’s better than nothing

Taxiing out for departure. Besides Delta Connection, American Eagle also serves LGA from here. Delta Connection also serves Atlanta, which sees mainline service here too, Detroit, Minneapolis, and even Salt Lake City from Fayetteville as well.

Off we go to New York!

Cruising at 35,000 feet near St. Louis

Turning eastward south of Cleveland

Final descent into the Big Apple over the mouth of the Hudson River

Landing in the late night at LaGuardia

Taxiing to our gate

Deplaned at LGA. The airport has just finished undergoing a decade-long renovation to bring it up to standard. Before that, LaGuardia was one of those places you hated flying into.

Haven’t flown through there recently, but they finished that billion-dollar project in January. Hopefully it’ll be at least bearable.

Make me happy to see someone flying the CRJ Family in IF!

Doesn’t get enough love imo. Hopefully as we get more 3D airports for smaller cities like Knoxville, Monterrey, and Santa Barbara, people will fly it more often.

Yeah it really doesn’t I’m kind of biased since the CRJ Family is my second most flown Aircraft Family in IF. Hopefully like you said with more smaller US airports becoming 3D that would help!

That statement was very much true a decade ago, but that cannot be said in 2025.
