I’m talking more about the diversion part than the weather
Oh ok, sorry for the misunderstanding.
@anon38496261 check this out lol
JAL brought some 747-400s there once upon a time…
Even though I can’t think of any other instance off the top of my head I find it hard to believe that no other transpacific heavy has diverted there…
Looks like the registration of this aircraft is N508DN. The plane is only 2 years old!
This was also the same plane @TheFlyingGuy1 spotted at LAX back in August
I really wonder what caused this incident in the engine. And I was pretty surprised when the plane decided to land at Fairbanks…didn’t know the airport could handle an A350
Not the first time for heavies at Fairbanks. Condor has a flight from Frankfurt using the 767.
That’s to PANC.
PANC has lots of heavies all the time, especially 747s.
You’re mistaken. Condor does, in fact, have nonstop flights to Fairbanks, on a seasonal basis. Condor’s website has it listed as DE2032 for the upcoming season.
Oh, that’s cool. Why they’d fly a whole 767 to little old Fairbanks is their decision, but okay 😅
they fly a 767 to whitehorse too lol, of all places
Anyway, back on topic, people. 👍
Dang I had no idea. That’s crazy!
