Delta A330-900neo New York to Los Angeles

Even though I’m on a break from long-haul flying, that doesn’t mean I’m on a break from widebodies! This time, it’s a type seldom seen on domestic flights, the Airbus A330-900neo. While the type is extensively used by its sole American operator, Delta Air Lines (two words, don’t ask, I don’t know either), it is typically used on routes to Europe from Atlanta and New York and to the Far East from Los Angeles, Seattle, and Minneapolis. In fact, only one route sees scheduled service from the newest flavor of A330 in the Delta fleet, and that’s the lucrative New York-Los Angeles route. Load factors on this route (enough for 3 scheduled daily flights) and the fact that the LAX-HND route is operated by the neo are large enough for Delta, historically a very fiscally conservative airline, to deploy this aircraft on the premier transcontinental route. Without further ado:
