Decent Shots With An 11-Year-Old DSLR @KDCA (6-28-25)

Hello everyone, how’s it going. I finally got out of the house this weekend and went spotting at Gravelly Point Park. The lighting was really nice, and I gave Adobe PS a try for the first time, Apart from that, I dont have too much to say. Enjoy!

Kicking things off with this Delta A320 arriving from ATL, one of DCA’s more popular routes

Extremely slow Cessna Citation Excel, coming in from Beckley

Following that came a common sight at DCA, an American Airlines A319 arriving from Sarasota

Right after that came another A319 in Delta form, arriving in from Orlando

Last but definitely not least, this United 737-724 coming in from Chicago O’hare

I hope you all liked these photos, any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated!

Part 2 soon cause I never want to see another A319 again

That’s gonna be hard to do, 80% of my camera roll from that day are A319s

1200D? I use a 50D

1200D is the name for the Canon T5 outside of America (excluding Asia)

I use the Rebel XTi!

That’s a pretty old camera, came out in the mid 2000’s right?

All of these photos were amazing but that Delta A320 looks so clean!

Probably coming in from DTW or MSP. The LGA-DCA is still a “shuttle” service and mainly is 99% operated on E170/175’s. It’s hardly ever a mainline route.

Thanks! That one is definitely my favorite out of the bunch

It most likely came from MSP, as the DTW-DCA flights are operated early in the morning or at night

2007 to be exact

Ship 3157 was operating DL2370 from MCO.

I’m probably not going to do a part 2, as the rest of my camera roll is pretty repetitive (mainly E175’s, A319’s)
