For some reason the DC10 and MD11 for me have a bad Pitch Up issue and I can’t seem to fix the problem. For example today when I attempting to land at Benito Juarez, even with the autopilot on the aircraft was still in a very high pitch up motion. Ive tried multiple times to calibrate but that doesn’t really seem to fix the issue. Increasing an decreasing speed and shifting flaps doesn’t seem to affect it much either. I don’t notice this kind of issue with any other aircraft though. Would anyone have had an similar experience with this problem before or am I simply flying the aircraft incorrectly? (As a side note I used the Auto approach feature(APPR) would that seem be a factor in this case? Other Aircraft which use APPR I don’t notice any pitch up issues with them only the DC10/MD11)
You could be too heavy
These aircraft need a lot of trim, 80% is needed sometimes. They also have quite a high approach speed, 170kts is pretty average.
Not really, unless you’re too heavy. My usual landing speed when I flew the DC-10 was of 135kts on final. Pitch was quite high on every landing I did.

But, based on what you’ve described, your plane is too heavy.
For a DC-10 maybe, but the MD-11 lands faster than most commercial aircraft due to the smaller horizontal stabilizers, so 170 is pretty average.

I’m not sure if you mean pitch moves up on its own, as opposed to pitch ends up being high to maintain the approach.
This is an old landing tutorial for these aircraft, from 5 years ago (still valid though control layout has changed?):

Note this high pitch attitude screenshot from the tutorial (during a stabilized approach):
I see I think I may have been too heavy as you guys said I will try landing again with trim to see its effects, Thanks you all you have been a great help :)
