Until a few years ago, moonshots were some of the most common ways to take an amazing photo in Infinite Flight - so much so that many screenshot competitions explicitly prohibit this kind of photo. However, at some point, the way the sun and moon are displayed was changed slightly.
This change made it basically impossible to take one of those mesmerizing moonshots. In essence, prior to this change, neither the moon nor the sun wouldn’t truly disappear from your session. However, once this change was implemented, the moon disappears above a certain height over the horizon or when a tiny amount of sunlight illuminates the sky. While it saves some processing, it also completely destroyed one of the most beautiful kinds of photo one can take.
Luckily, a new graphics engine is currently being developed, so it would be awesome if daytime moonshots made a comeback at some point.
