Dash 8 takeoff tutorial

Hello guys, today I will be teaching how to takeoff in the Dash 8

Let’s start up eith the weight settings, this is what I usually use

Special tip, the dash 8 taxi just the same as the others.

Use Flaps 10 to takeoff.

So after lining up and wait, apply 40% as initial push, after reaching 25 knots apply 90% of thrust, and at 130 knots, rotate and pitch at 10 degrees.

Flaps 5 at 2000 and flaps up at 5000, Voilà

Landing tutorial coming soon

I normally use flaps 10 just to give it some more lift. Also it’s more useful at airports with shorter runways

BTW I changed it, thanks for pointing that out

This can be extended to about 93-95% if you are close to MTOW.

Check my weight settings Henrik ;)

But great point to add

Awesome tutorial @HV9690, you should make a landing tutorial as well since many people are having trouble! :)

It really depends on your weight. Every weight has different settings

At your weight the correct rotating speed is about 121 knots with a flap setting of 10 degrees.
