Darrel_onyango's Radar Tracking Thread - [CLOSED]

I started my radar training about a week ago and I feel like I need a bit more practice so I’ve started this thread with My trainer, @Jinco , approval.

Few notes:

  • Airport, runways, and other information will be announced 1 day ahead of the session
  • You can spawn at any airport within 65nm of the opened airport
  • Request the following approaches: ILS, Visual, RV (Do not file FPL with procedures at this time)
  • These are the speeds you should follow:
    • Downwind [ 220 - 200 IAS ]
    • Base [ 180-200 IAS ]
      If you are still far then speed at your discretion but when nearing down wind slow to <220 IAS.

Feedback

  • Terrain bust: Must remain above 1,000ft AGL when you aren’t cleared for approach.
  • Separation bust: Must have a 3nm lateral, and 1,000ft vertical separation between other aircraft when you’re not established for the approach yet.
  • Issue intercepting: If you didn’t get the localizer with the vectors I gave you. eg above GlideSlope or overshot the localizer.
  • Inefficiency: If you believe you could’ve got to the runway significantly quicker or had a problem with my sequencing.
  • Any improvements: If you have any advise that I should take note whether small or big.

LIPE- Runway 30
Approaches in use: ILS, VIS, RV
Time between 1400Z-1700Z(depending on with other people)

Will wait for more people then announce the date

Patience is key, wait for at least 30min for people to noticed this thread
