Dark mode on this community

I really hope there’s a dark mode on this community!

Unfortunately there isn’t a Dark mode for the IFC.

This can be changed by the admins of the forum.

Not unless the Admins add it via some tweaking in the admin settings.

Hello! @PilotKoki14,
As schyllberg says clearly here, they are using custom theme features

Therefore, not currently possible.

Thanks for understanding.

Me too, because the white is hurting eyes, especially at night.

But has @BravoCharlie, @Qantas094 and @Ondrejj sayed, there isn’t a dark mode on the community.

How did you get the dark mode?

I have absoloutly no idea, It’s allways been like this (On my Phone)

You probably have Samsung’s systemwide dark mode enabled.

It stays dark even with it disabled ;)

It’s a flag in Chromium to enable dark webcontent:

as well there are many plugins for browsers to make website in dark mode, however it doesn’t look always pretty.

See if I can get it on iOS.

Edit, nope it’s a work in progress.

You can try to check if this flag is already added into Chrome Canary. No IOS device around me so can’t check for ya.

Didn’t find it.

I use the dark reader extension for Chrome. You can get it on the Chrome Web Store.

Dark mode changes all the time for me. Dark sometimes, light sometimes. 🤔

This site does not support Web dark mode.
The tip is to invert colors (no inversion for images). It’s an old tip to create darkmode on devices (see in accessibilities in preferences).
But today there a CSS code to define dark mode for web site:

@media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) {
/* Dark theme specific styles */
}

This way a webmaster can define light and dark mode that can be applied according to the selected mode in system preferences.
It works the same way to apply mobile mode to a phone and desktop mode to a computer.
