Nice controlling overal! I think it was unfortunate you had to handle someone like Southwest 4 2 0 who decided to disobey all commands, and just land on whatever runway he chose. A few pointers.

Summary

  • Firstly, Clear me for the option a little later than when I’m on crosswind.

  • Secondly, make sure to watch out what is going on, on the ramp. The guy in the Alitalia MD-11 was taxiing way to close to me. You should’ve issued a maintain safe distance warning.

  • Thirdly, when issuing exit runway instructions make sure the aircraft hasn’t just landed, the instructions should be issued when the aircraft is around 60 knots.

Besides that, really nice controlling. Are you in touch with a trainer. I have been working with one who has been really helpful and they can get some other planes to fly some patterns as well.

Very good job in general!

Here are a few things that I noticed:

  • You cleared me for the option at one point when I had yet to turn base. Don’t clear someone until they are on crosswind.

  • You didn’t give me a frequency change when I requested a departure.

  • You told me to enter left base 03R when I was on left downwind. You should have given me left downwind.

Really solid controlling other than that, hope to see you at IFATC soon!
