CYUL STAR / APP conflict

Hello everyone
Also for the Database team

Here I am to point out something that is in the CYUL datebase for a moment now about some conflicts when setting a STAR for arrival and an final approach. d

Here I though the airport won’t be fixed before the appoach would be set into the flightplan, but it will become

Here I entered my STAR and plan to use the 06ILS approach, that screenshot is taken before I added that appoach to my flight plan

And this one, the approach is in my flightplan and as you can see my flightplan is telling my after completing the STAR to fly to destination and then to return take the approach.
For other airports in the Sim that doesn’t happened except there for YUL airport.

If I remove the CYUL fix in the STAR sequence, I lose my entire CARTR4 ARR programation if you see what I mean ( I can also here you that it wouldn’t be a problem later on, the AP will follow the NAV anyway) but I’m very use to that process of STAR and APP in my flightplan to be clear as started.

That’s why I wanted to point some attentions to CYUL data base before the next Sim update.

Best regards, great weekend to y’all

This is a thing at many airports, it’s usually like that because in real life the procedure sheets are like that. You can just turn off LNAV beforehand and set the A/P heading manually.

It’s not really an issue though all Canadian airports have the airport at the end of STARS. They also have discontinuity and require vectors (or the pilot to navigate to the IAF when radar isn’t present) to the approach when reaching the final waypoint of the arrival.

The database is supplied by a 3rd party and isn’t something modifiable.

So you confirm that the way the STAR and APP are layed out at YUL is completely normal, right ?

Yes, it’s normal… I guess…
