Hello, I have an old custom callsign, PISELLO, which literally means “sweet pea”, but now I want to change it, as I think that it may sound offensive for someone, as in Italian it has another meaning, an offensive one. How can I change it?

Click your profile in IF, click the pencil next to callsign, and change it.
already tried, but it gives me an error, as it wants a callsign with a different format, but I don’t want to lose the custom one.

It means you put too many numbers/letters.
nope, the one I’m trying to insert is way shorter than my current one, it says "your callsign isn’t valid. Make sure a valid country registration is selected.

Hey! Custom callsigns have been done away with since version 20.2
You’ll have to be creative by using a country code to make up your own callsign - for example, mine is VT-SOO.

No, obviously not.
No, it’ll simply get grandfathered in. It looks like you made it at a time before Global rolled out.
But if you change it, you will never get it back.
