.CSV file to infinite flight

Hello!

Today I downloaded a .CSV file from a flightradar24 flight, but I don’t know how to convert it to use it in invite flight. Does anybody have an idea? Thanks

Hey there!

I’m not aware of a way to convert a .csv file into an .fpl file. However, if you download the FR24 flight as a KML file instead. You can then use this website to convert the KML file into a FPL file that Infinite Flight can then read.

Download Kml file and use Infinite flight tools to convert it to fpl

If you plan to fly within American airspace you can use Flight aware IFR Analyser for real world flight plans.

I still have a problem. It didn’t load more past 252 waypoints so only 1/8th of the flight is converted.

Yes that’s because it use gps coordinates rather than actual waypoints used by real world flight

ok but what should I do now?

try the one I recommend above

I won’t fly in American airspace on the route I want to fly

I usually use KML file thing for curved SID if that airport requires one like for London Heathrow etc.

We’ll use Simbrief and edit the waypoints based on that route which I usually do.

I also want to mention if you tend to do popular routes like from Australia to Doha, Dubai etc or vice-versa you can get real world flight plan for all fights based on those routes. All flights arriving in or departing from Australia and the USA have flight plans published on the website.

It would be easier to explain if you made a video about it: many people don’t understand what’s being said here.
If you make a video of how it all works and explain it, it’ll usually be easier for people to understand. :man_shrugging:t4::handshake:t4:

A video probably isn’t necessary - there are appropriate easy-explain tutorials:

Adam’s tool is fairly self-explanatory - import the KML, export it as a .fpl file, then open it in Infinite Flight. You may encounter the max 252-fix limit issue so you may have to do it in sections. Export the first 252 fixes, then delete them from FlightPlan Tools. Export the next 252, and so on.
